Welcome to the Scholars Restaurant.

For our overnight guests this is where breakfast is served. You can have fruit and cereal from the buffet. But, here we also keep alive the tradition of the great Full English Breakfast. Made from top quality ingredients, nothing else sets you up for the day quite like our Full English Breakfast. It's a "must have".

Our Bar Snack Menu is available from 12:00pm until 7pm. If you can only stay a short time, we can rustle you up a very tasty club sandwich. But, if you do have time to sit for a while, then why not try our sirloin steak and chips from our restaurant Lunch Menu

In the evening we have several menus for you choose from. We have an A La Carte Menu with such mouth watering dishes as roasted duck breast, fillet of sea bass and roasted rack of lamb. Or, you could choose from our three course Set Menu* with a choice of starter, main course and dessert, but all at a one fixed price. And, for anyone who wants just good old-fashioned home cooking, we have a Pub Menu* with such favourites as fish and chips, steak pie and vegetarian wild mushroom stroganoff.

On Sunday, we keep another great tradition alive - the Sunday Roast. Prepared in our kitchen using fresh and seasonal - locally sourced produce - this traditional meal, served at lunchtime, has long been a favourite at the Hotel.

For those of you who would like something different, don't worry. Our Sunday Lunch Menu has a wide selection of other entrees to tempt you.
